Shane Halcon, has a passion for music, DJing and clubbing that's second to none.He took to the decks in 2004, giving up a life as a professional sportsman and taking a huge leap into the music and DJing Industry.Having first touched a turntable a mere 6 months prior, he secured his first residency at a well established Night Club in Johannesburg, Coloddeum.Other clubs played at include Celcius, Nite Fever, Ramp Divas, Evolution,and Submission, with the highlight of the lot being the greatest club in the southern Hemisphere, ESP (Nexus).Some events he's played at include a Hanger 51 official warm-up Party, the "Lectrodecktus DJ competition 2", HeadzUP product launch party, Revlon 24-7 Promo party and The DJ Lounge's Proudly South African night.Some highlights Shane has played at include 3 CD launches namely "Clubworx", "Needle Damage 3" and "Derek 'The Bandit's' World of dance 7", The official "Strapdown Sessions 2 vs. Needle Damage 3" party and the Mr. Spencer 10K warm up party and was a part of Submission's Summer Series, and in fact, Along With Grim Brothers "band Members" Andre Frauenstein and Chris Hattingh,run Submission's Dj Line up and are the Organisers for the club.They are also associated with South Africa's biggest Underground Techno Movement, Teknotribe.In March 2007 Shane and the Grims played a guest set at G.A.S.S. which was highly successful. just 6 days later they Shane and Andre found themselves in London,playing at SEone ... Shane's International debut.He has headlined alongside some of South Africa's most well known and established DJs; to name a few: Dizzy, Speedy, Derek "The Bandit",James G, Anton Nathrass, and Gizmo, as well as International act, DJ Bonebraker of Brooklyn Bounce,Dutch Producer, Lock 'n' Load and UK Trance Sensation, Anthony Dean, and, as a GRIM BROTHER, featured on the SPACE IBIZA Event alongside VOODOO and SERANO and was booked to play a supporting set for Sean Tyas. He's also had the chance of being booked to play alongside some of his Idols from the TIDY scene, Lee Haslam, Amber D, Guyver, Ed Real and Edison Factor.Shane learnt the ART of mixing very quickly under the watchful "EAR" of ESP legend, Mizz Julz, who guided him step by step, from the first beat!
