We need to start talking about Data Portability

So........
I am very happy to announce that the Platformpodcast will start up another round of podcasts.
I'm proud what we were doing with this podcast and honestly, I wish we could have done more for the bands but the truth is, we're just a couple of web geeks who wanted to start a podcast and show the community how to do it as legally as possible while still sharing the music we enjoy. I believe this was an accomplishment in itself.
We believe our strength was mashing up myspace, podsafe and mainstream bands. We personally spoke with the artists of every band we played. Well, all but one and I will never state which band this was nor do I think they would care with the free pimpage we gave them in return. As stated in our bio, we did the shit as "legal" as possible and that's the best we can do in this fucked up digital world where nothing makes sense anymore.
We are fully aware that myspace has now adopted a slightly more conforming attitude towards the 'terms of service' policy with regards to podcasts like ours setting up shop in Theirspace. And frankly, that's why we're back.

The Platform Podcast is the creation of two best friends — hundreds of miles apart — who wanted to share the music they love (as legally as possible) and the conversations they have.These two friends are the kind of guys whom you would swear have a personal code against listening to bands played on radio stations that transmit at greater than 5 watts. While certainly not above nostalgic or even mainstream pleasures, they know you can get such things from pretty much anywhere at any time.You all know the type. They can talk about great works of literature and film. They can kick your ass at Grand Theft Auto. The key points in their sexual development were Whitesnake videos and Colonel Wilma Deering in Buck Rodgers. You love them anyway.So, don't think of this as a podcast.
