Sub Concious was born February 10th 1989 in Toronto Ontario. He grew up in Pickering where his early child hood would be focused and dedicated to playing sports. However, his mind slowly but surely left that focus as he always saw the older kids around him “Hustling.” Since he was 11 he remembered seeing the profit margins for those who hustle. It wasn’t until the age of 14 that Sub Concious seriously thought about hustling himself. Since grade nine it seemed to him that hustling was the best way to make money. Quickly learning the tricks of the trade he made a name for himself at his school. However, as he now knows better then ever, making a name for your self isn’t always a good thing.
In grade 10 Sub Concious was arrested at school for possession for the purpose of trafficking. Thankfully, because of the Safe Schools Act in Canada it was not taken to criminal court. He received a year and a half of probation where he would have a curfew and have to promise to be on good behaviour. The school also kicked him out until further notice and was debating on expelling him. After two weeks of his suspension his Mother got into a brutal accident that left her with a shattered pelvis and fractured spine. She was rushed to Sunny Brook hospital. It was December 23rd and that year Christmas would be spent in the hospital.
Dealing with his Mothers Hospitalization was not easy for him. The 8 months that she was in the hospital were hard for the whole family. He says that pushing his Mom in a wheel chair is one of the worst feelings he has ever had. Once his mom returned home and everything seemed to be improving, little did they know that they were up for the biggest shock of all. It was Sub Concious second summer of high school and his probation was just about to be up when he got brought in on 7 accounts of breaking an enter into a residential home. Although he was never caught red handed in the act police investigation lead them to have substantial evidence against him. It was this point where Sub Concious had to start working full-time to pay for a lawyer.
After over half a year of court and other stresses that go along with it Sub Concious knew it was time to just focus on his music. He realized that no one is ever going to look out for you. You can only look out for yourself. After all the drama with the law ended and Sub Concious began to take his craft more seriously he has since hooked up with producer T.Williams who has produced three of his singles and has ridiculous credibility around the world. He has also got to work with Cashis from Shady Records. It is only a matter of time before someone notices his potential. Look out for the cities newest up and coming star in the rap game.
