The anime club of Fairfax County, Northern Virginia Anime Association (NVAA) is a free, community-based, anime club who's purpose is to appreciate Japanese culture through the viewing of anime, going to anime conventions, and attending local Japanese cultural activities. We meet monthly, generally from Noon-10PM. We show DVD and DivX anime projected using digital projectors onto large screens so everyone can read the subtitles in two separate rooms.
Membership is free and walk-ins are welcome. We only ask that you bring snacks and drinks to share with everyone. To get monthly updates of meetings and other activities, join our mailing list. Please e-mail us if you have any questions.
We used to regularly meet in the Fairfax County Government Center, but now they charge $60 per hour per room, so we can't really afford to meet there anymore. Thusforth, the meetings will be at different places until we decide on a new regular meeting place. Sign up for the newsletter on our site to find out where the next one is. The newsletters are usually sent out a few days before the meeting. Our current residence is the Mason Governmental Center, although we're still looking for a better place. We are NOT moving the club meetings to anyone's home. Also, we're one Facebook, too! Join our group on Facebook. It's better.http://animeclub.org
