Miss J

On February 7, 1987 in the beautiful and tranquil island of the Turks & Caicos a star is born to the proud Steffanie Dueringer and Benjamin Johnson. Starting at the tender age of 4 Miss J mother discovered that her little angel had a tune. As the years went by Miss J participated in talent shows, christmas plays and even gospel shows held at her local church in her community. Later on in her life she moved to Mt. Vernon New York where she was able to perform at kareokes at the well known Mingles located in the bronx and the famous Wild plams where she was exposed to various music. Still attending high school Miss J battled the stress of her senior year and still trying to deal with her music. Having to leave the music alone for a while Miss J graduated the Mt. vernon High and then went on her way with her career. She moved back to the islands where her career was really official recording her hit single "I'll Be Back" made the airways and is now one of the most frequent record that is on the playlist. Coming back with another hit "I Adore" Miss J's fans took to her music like kids at a candy store and not long after that Miss J made her fans go "Oooh" with her third hit. With the help of rap artist/friend L32 who is the director of Construcksun Records, her music became more relevant and flamboiant. Opening for artist such as Whyclef Jean and the famous bad b*tch Trina Miss J has truely expanded her horizon. Miss J recently performed at the famous Ice House Lounge in Las Vegas Nevada where she truely made herself to be known. Working hard to be the first R&B artist from the Turks & Caicos Islands Miss J is surely making her path a little less rocky and with that she sure will be representing for her country, taking it to another level.
