He has toured in Canada, Asia, Europe and the US with a variety of artists…in an equally varied variety of musical styles.Alex’s studies took him to France, at the “Music Academic International†where he had the opportunity to work with some of the top instructors in Europe. It’s where he brought to the attention of Mr. Alain Caron, master bassist from the band “Uzebâ€. Alex was asked to join with Mr. Caron for master classes, giving him the chance to demonstrate and teach others at a professional level.The first Canadian to graduate from this prestigious school, Alex left the covered with honours and more enthusiastic than ever for his chosen profession: musician.In 1999, he got an important contract for Cheval Théâtre, a production set up by Cirque du Soleil’s co-founder Gilles Ste-Croix. The group has toured extensivly as one of the world’s top live circus acts and Alex took part in over 400 performances in major centres like Denver, Las Vegas, San Diego, Nashville or San Jose. He also recorded the official album of the show. During his time in the US, Alex never missed a chance to have lessons with the great names of music, like Motown Record’s Bob Babbit(Steevie wonder).He also worked for the GROOVE STUDIO in Osaka. He had the chance to compose an instrumental CD under the studio label. The CD is now released in Asia, South America, Canada, Europe, Australia and the US, distributed by BMG ZOMBA. This music will be used in motion picture, television, radio, audio/visual, and multimedia productions.Being able to play consistantly in any style or situation is what all musicians are looking to attain, and Alex has proven time and again that in any situation he is the right person to call for the job…live performance, studio recording or teaching.http://alexfouquet.blogspot.com/
