We are very happy to share with you.... Miss Sherri and the Little Animal Band , who make an edgy & refreshing splash in children’s entertainment. Prepare to be wowed by her and the band as you slip on your grooviest dancin' shoes and experience the hip-hoppin'est interactive dance party ever when they take stage.
Miss Sherri’s show is an artful pop layer cake of kid-centric lyrics over an eclectic blend of old school hip-hop beats, wailing guitar licks, crooning vocals, and silky smooth saxophone solos. With a funky, bluesy flair, the latest music from former NYC rocker and lead singer Sherri Ehrlich has been hailed,
“Best music for the little ones and the big ones,â€
“The Pied Piper;â€
and “Kiddie hipster extraordinaire.."
The Baby Einstein Company calls it, "Delightful, rockin' music sure to get little ones --- and their 'big ones' --- up and dancing."
This hand-clappin', foot- stompin' music featuring yours truly, Miss Sherri, and my Little Animal Band. It features the Band making music and having a blast with our enthusiastic Loving loyal fans, family, and friends. Miss Sherri has been featured on Fox Channel 5, New York one, and most recently Sherri & the band opened up for High School Musical's Corbin Blleu at The PNC Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ.
'"My fondest and most cherished musical memory as a very young child is listening to the silky smooth voice of my beloved grandma Gussie as she often sang and rocked me in her arms. These unforgettable and precious moments that we shared have impacted my entire life experience. I have continued her simple tradition of singing songs, & Rockin' ever since. I began playing the guitar at 10 years old, doing ballet, tap and jazz dance too. Thanks to one of my babysitters, I learned tons of music by The Beatles, Cat Stevens and Joanie Mitchell. In my City of birth, Brooklyn, New York, my brother, three sisters and I performed regularly for family, friends, and anyone in the neighborhood interested in purchasing a 10-cent ticket. After having my son, I realize how music is a huge part of who I have become and how I express myself in this world every day. It is definitely my favorite way to impart special thoughts, dreams and feelings. When Oliver was a baby I sang to him day and night, and now I sing to hundreds of children each week in class, on CDs, DVDs, at birthday parties and with my Little Animal Band at Festivals and in Concert.
I believe that music is as nourishing as the good food we eat and as vital as the air we breathe. Its existence dates back to ancient times. And so I will continue to make music wherever I go. Music calms us, entertains us and inspires everyone to rejoice in our common humanity. - It bridges the gap between, what may seem impossible, with what is possible, breaking down socio, economic boundaries, bringing together people of various religions, ethnicities or political differences by promoting peace and love among all people like nothing else I have ever seen. We can create a better world with our children, through music and movement, especially when we make it together. In all my travels throughout the world I have observed time and time again, mothers singing to soothe their babies, although sometimes in a foreign language, still the language of music remains Universal and constant! "

Oh more good news...Sherri Ehrlich (that's me) and Drew Yowell co-wrote a great song called 'Sol Solution" for a very Green hip, educational project, The Sol Solution Project is the first of 3 planned projects by Community 2025. Our goal at Community 2025 is to make the science of sustainable living fun and understandable for kids. Integrating the positive message of sustainable living into music with interesting interviews, hands-on workshops, and topics that can be applied by kids and parents in their own homes. Great change starts, one step at a time.
During our shoot in Mexico we had the cooperation and support of a few very special companies. We pay tribute to them for their foresight in helping kids of all ages.
** Who is Community 2025 and what is its purpose?
Community 2025 is a group of like-minded people that see a need to bring a message of change though our kids in a positive way. Much of today's discussion about global warming, the energy crisis and the ecology is done in 'shock' fashion. Community 2025 agrees with the facts but hopes to reach kids 12 to 17 with a twist they can grab hold of.
This year, Miss Sherri had two music videos produced, for the songs "Fun in the Sunshine" and "Uh Oh Joe" from the "My Green Shoes" CD.
