The Secret

I live in Austin and have enjoyed this city immensely since moving here 25 years ago. I've played around with lots of different styles(Americana, rock, jazz, various singer/songwriters) and music acts such as Polk Barton and Towhead, Lauren Fine, South of the River, Kat Nelson, Aaron Calhoun, Collie Stewart of Morph, and Magi.
I don't currently play very often. I strive to keep a balance with my demands on career and personal life. To be truthful, I have been more than a little put off with some of the attitudes and head trips of the profession, though I've also forged deep friendships, affection and many fond memories through my wealth of experiences. You know who you are.
I like really really hot homemade salsa, and my capsiacin inclined friends agree that I should go into business. Maybe someday. Until then, I keep playing with recipes and pushing the heat-index envelope to newer heights!! When I do so it moves me closer to God.
I like to travel and have extended family in Ireland (Mark, Dolores, and Rhiana McCauley-Mcveigh; Cathy and Chad Alexander; Elaine, John, Ryan and Orlaugh) and France (Corinne and Franck et les enfants). Dear friends in Switzerland (Susan Michel). Of course the in-laws in southern Brazil (Estado Santa Catarina, Ilha Santa Catarina and the city of Florianopolis). Speaking of travel, I'm long overdue for a return to the Emerald Isle and to see my family over there. Something about how those families have taken me in and counted me as one of their own that touches me to this day. Not to mention they get a laugh out of how I say "Ya'all". Of course I get a kick of how they say "cow" and when Cathy lovingly tells me to "Phuck Off!". But that is another story. Needless to say I miss them, helping out with paintball events (www.escarmouche.com), or enjoying peat fired fireplaces, Guinness, live Irish music, hearty stew, and good craic. Galway, Connemara, Belfast and the North Antrim coast are utterly fantastic places to be. I just don't understand why they call me "WANKER".
I like lots of foreign flicks. Enjoyed The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, except for the somewhat sappy ending.
In closing, it isn't about idealogies, and it's not about Right or Left. It's about Right and Wrong and preserving this Earth for future generations. And as a nod to our worthless President and his delusional supporters... back at ya Pal.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Everyone. But especially those that aren't afraid to question things. Nothing can be so sacrosanct as to be beyond legitimate and truthful scrutiny. That includes our belief systems, our politicians, and our media. And for those of you who quote the Bible, please let it be the reflection of love, as opposed to ascribing your spiteful judgemental nature to God.

You scored as Liberal, You are a Liberal! You beleive that the government should have a significant role in the lives of everyday people and that the freedom of individuals shall not be arbitrarily abridged.

The first of who knows how many...

Hello there. It's a Friday. Had our pres mumble and stumble through a whole speech, that I'm glad I missed. Nothing like trying to validate torture. He tortures us. I sense a tide turning. Unfortunate...
