Hui-Ping was born in Taipei, Taiwan. Where she studied violin with Ming-De Chang and Chun-Ren Lee at the art magnet school Kuang-Ren for both elementary and high school. She was chosen to attend the master class of Nai-Yuan Hu while at Kuang-Ren.
In the summer of 1997 she toured Southeast Asian countries with the Taiwan Symphony's Junior Orchestra. At Soochow University Hui-Ping was under the tutelage of Professor Kuang-Lin Pen and studied chamber music from Po-Po Chiang, Rui-Xian Chen, and Kuang-Lin Pen. She was an outstanding student and performed in numerous important performances inside and outside of the university. She also organized a number of solo recitals in her school, and in 2001 she received her undergraduate degree in music performance from the Soochow University.
In 2004, she was invited to perform Ravel’s violin sonata in Malaysia. In 2005, she obtained a masters degree in performance from the Aaron Copland School of Music (ACSM) at Queens College, City University of New York (CUNY). During her master’s degree, Hui-Ping also began performing on viola as well as violin, and her performances won high acclaim. She then studied violin and viola with Professor Daniel Phillips, and in 2006 she obtained the artist diploma of professional study program from the Aaron Copland School of Music. She has been selected to perform many times in Flushing Town Hall, NY, and in the summer of 2005, she obtained a scholarship to perform with the NYU string quartet seminar. In 2005 fall, she collaborated with Prof Phillips in a highly acclaimed performance of W.A. Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante.
In 2006, she participated in the Henri Mancini Institute for professional summer education and music festival on violin. She just had New York Debut concert with Fung CHern Hwei, Duo "Gang Of Two" in Carnegie Weill Hall on December 2nd, 2006. She just moved to LA from New York.
