Born in Birmingham, Alabama, M.K.J., also known as M.K., started rapping at the age of 12. As time progressed, he began recording radio personality intros for 95.7 Jamz at the age of 18. Since then, he has linked numerous DJs, artists, and record executives to begin his journey to the top. Thanks to DJs such DJ CJ The Stickman and DJ Serious, his first single, Show It Off, did very well in the club scene in 2006. Although it was only released as a single, he plans on delivering his first official mixtape very soon. When asked what is to be expected from him in the years to come, he replied, "Something away from the norm. A lot of artists are sounding more and more alike lyrically and I will be that one bring something new and improved to the table." He is the founder of Southstylez Entertainment. His influences include Andre 3000, Lil Wayne, Hot Boys, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Common, and Ludacris. He is destined to be the elite artist out of Birmingham. He appreciates all those who love real music and that is what encourages him to become better.
