About Me

Myspace Layouts Update: Well, I guess I should update this thing... I tried another IE job that didn't work out AGAIN! But everything happens for a reason, because through a random series of events stemming from that, I am now have a great job learning to be a Civil Engineer and loving it. I didn't even know it was possible to switch engineering fields, well, it probablt isn't, but I really lucked out in finding this company. Other than that I am just chugging along life's twisted little path. I HAVE to get out of the country again soon, so I'll probably be planning some random trip soon. Let me know if you want to go! ********** OLD STUFF: Let's see, where do I start? Well, it seems I am at a little bit of a crossroad in my life, at least career wise anyway. It is not fare that an 18 year old has to make probably the most important decision of their lives at a time when all you want to do is party and have a good time! At the moment, I am trying to decide if I want to continue being an IE or move in other directions such as cooking, construction, medicine, nutrition, being a bum(I am actually leaning to this one right now : ))... so many choices. I have had a little time to do some traveling to Central America, which has helped me put some things into perspective, but it is about time to join the real world again. I have learned that most other travelers(at least backpackers) are liberal, and I have come up with some theories on why this is, but I am not going to get into that here. I also learned that out of all the beautiful places in the world I want to see, there is no place like home, being with your family and friends that you love. I guess I am not like most travelers. I do have a strong sense of home, which makes it difficult to be gone for a lengthy amount of time. At the same time, when I am at home, I am always itching to go someplace new... an interesting conundrum! Well, this is starting to sound like a blog or something, let me get back to the basics. I grew up in a very small town(1200 pop), well, actually live in the country between even smaller towns. I have always loved sports and hanging out with friends and family. I love the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and I am an animal lover. As you can tell from above, I love to travel and cook, especially with fresh ingredients from the garden or from a hunting or fishing trip. I love all Aggie sports, even when they are not doing so hot. I enjoy learning about my religion as well as other religions. I actually include atheism in this category, because it takes just as much faith to believe there is no God... I guess I am also a romantic, in the sense of relationships, as well as life in general. I like ideals, the way things should be. I love Texas. I listen to Texas country, old rock and old country, but at teh same time I like classical and jazz. I love to read, more into historical nonfiction than fiction... way to many cool things that actually happened in this world than to waste time on the fake. I try to be a good friend and person, someone who people can trust and depend on. I guess I am a little old fashioned, and consider myself chivalric. I don't like when other guys treat women badly. I don't like rude, egotistical, jackasses, or people that find humor in making fun of others. One big problem I have is that I worry about pleasing everyone or worried about what other people think to much. If I can stop doing this and not care so much what other people think of me, I would be alot better off! I can also be shy and quiet at times, I think mainly because I get in my head to much and start over analyzing and thinking to much. I guess overall, I enjoy a very wide range of things and consider myself unique. I guess I rambled about myself enough.
