Well that's kind of a broad topic, isn't it? Hmmm... OK. Let's start from the beginning. Sometime during the month of April 1978 my parents... Not that far back! OK. I was born in January of 1979 in a suburb of Philly, PA. ( Go Eagles! Go Flyers! ) I was raised in the town of West Chester, about a mile from the West Chester University athletic fields ; I attended Hillsdale Elementary School and would've attended Stetson Middle School and Henderson High School, but one dreadful day in 1990 my family moved to Alpharetta, GA . Atlanta is quite the booming city, but they hardly get any snow. :( I love snow. :) At any rate, I lived there in HOTlanta for another 11 years or so. I went to Taylor Road Middle School, Chattahoochee High School, and the Georgia Institute of Technology (AKA Georgia Tech; go Jackets!). In high school I played football and ran track and was a pretty good student. In college... well... I went to college. :D ;) I still managed to be a pretty good student, so I got a job with Boeing writing software for the Apache helicopter in January of 2002... in Mesa, AZ. Arizona?! They never get snow!! ...mostly. We actually got some snow for two years in a row now. Pretty crazy. I liked it though. :) In 2004 I met my wife, Alecia, got married in 2006, and had our first little angel, Aaralyn (AIR-uh-lin) in 2007. And that pretty much brings us to present day. Alecia and I are hoping to move to somewhere colder here pretty soon. I'm still attached to the snow from my upbringins in Philly and so is she -- being raised in Montana and all. Arizona has treated us well, but we're ready for less sun.
So that's my history. Who am I? I'm a pretty easy going guy. A friend once told me that I'm a red apple. Red apple? Huh? Ask me sometime. :) I hardly ever get mad or angry; very rarely do I; just about never. I owe that temperance to the grace given to me by God through Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I have a sense of humor, but don't appreciate humor that makes fun of someone or something about someone. I used to be quite sarcastic, but several years ago realized the "hidden" damage sarcasm causes to the people it is directed at. Some people say I am wise; I have realized that God has also granted me a natural wisdom -- a very special gift indeed. I love to love and help people. I try and make things emotionally easier for the person coming behind me; I believe in putting things back the way you found them. I accept people for who they are, but have a tendancy to see where they could use some improvement and my desire to help people kicks in. Having said that, I truly believe in being yourself and not in trying to be like somebody else. God made us all unique individuals; now this doesn't mean that you cannot change or be influenced. Just don't try and be like somebody else; believe in yourself and be your own unique self! If you are unhappy with something or have realized a wrong, attempt to right them. :) This may not be easy, but it requires your energy and dedication. God wants you to ask Him for His help to; He will! He loves you! He wants to help you! In the end, I just want other people to know Our Savior Jesus Christ the way I do. The improvements I see are ones that will bring the person closer to God and ones that are aimed to help the person take care of themself better -- mind, body, and spirit. Saying that, I'm kind of a health nut. I love food (I'm Italian), but I respect food. I eat to live, I don't live to eat. I'm a sucker for a good New York style, restaurant quality pizza. I also love a quality beer; I have recently discovered a beer that is becoming my favorite -- it is called Moose Drool and it is brewed at a microbrew in Missoula, MT. I love red wine too (a nice Merlot can go with anything in my book -- it's gotta be the Italian in me). I believe in natural remedies and not so much man-made chemicals that our bodies don't know what to do with. I try to eat organic foods and have been for a while. After a while you can actually taste some of the pesticides in other foods because you are so used to eating ones not contaminated with them. I respect the Earth; God created all of this for us; we do not own the Earth -- it is a gift to us from God, the Creator. I try and be environment friendly where I can be; I recycle, I don't litter, I try and save energy around the house, and I drive a pretty fuel efficient Honda Accord. I never thought I'd own a Honda, but somebody shmacked me and my Saturn in the side and it was totaled. :( Poor Saturn. :'( I was then forced to buy a car and the Honda Accord Coupe was the best fit. At any rate, here I am trying to do my best for my family, for those that I interact with on a daily basis, for my planet, and for my God.
If you'd like to ask me anything or say hello, please feel free to send me a message. I love questions and believe in asking questions. Questions and their answers are the way to remove miss-understandings, gain knowledge, and reveal the truth. They prevent heart-aches and unneeded stress. Be open and honest and you will be rewarded. It can seem easier to bend the truth to fit the situation, but that will only cause it to come back to bite you in the end or hinder others from benefitting from the knowledge and help there is to gain in that truth.
Peace!
Word. ...or something.
