Helvetronen

About Me

Introduction & Biography:
Helvetronen is Alterno’s own music project applying his conceptual support system of participating with other musicians to make a community of variable thoughts in music. Helvetronen declares that it has nothing to do with any kind of problems or contradictions between people representing the metal scene in Egypt as it is an independent music project seeking some future aims away from the local struggles politically, economically or even within the local metal scene.
Alterno first began playing in 2004 starting his solo project “Tyrantoria” playing Middle-Eastern folkish Doom Metal which was not very serious and came to an end due to lack of interest and abilities. In the beginning of 2006 the idea of starting Helvetronen evolved and some members joined Helvetronen then left and were not effective to the band progress. Helvetronen started playing Ambient Black Metal and developed the style to Black Death Metal with lots of influences turning into its own style from the inspiration of a lot of different bands. The true beginning of Helvetronen started at the end of 2007/beginning of 2008 when Slash and Mastema joined Helvetronen and started working together on the material. The name Helvetronen came from Helvete Tronen which means Hell Throne in Norwegian, the name was chosen as a kind of dedication and appreciation for the black metal gods of Norway.
