About Me

My name is Cary. See that pic over to the left? That's me. I'm fairly tall, blindingly white, and when I had hair, it was blonde. I hate mornings, love me a good cup of tea, can balance on one foot (or both hands), and am right-handed.
My life is much like other people's... I work, I keep myself entertained, I entertain others. I laugh, I cry, but I can't say that I've ever stood in the aisle and cried for more, but there's always a first time. I'm sarcastic, dry, working on the wit-factor, and am totally addicted to the sun. Seriously... when it disappears for a few days, I'm ready to jump off a bridge. I need help. My Interests

I'd like to meet:

( Click here to post your own answers for this meme.)

Yes; I miss somebody right now. (I miss several people right now.) Yes; I don't watch much TV these days. (Only when I'm hungover and moving from the couch to the bed, and back to the couch. Otherwise, I don't have the time.) Yes; I own lots of books. (I don't even have all of them out of boxes.)
No; I wear glasses or contact lenses. (I'm supposed to, but I lost my glasses.) No; I love to play video games. (I just don't get the point. I don't have that gene.) Yes; I've tried marijuana. (I was young and needed the money. Wait.... no. Yes. Hell. I confess!!!)
Yes; I've watched porn movies. (Oh, yeah.....) No; I have been the psycho-ex in a past relationship. (I have luckiliy not had to experience that.) Yes; I believe honesty is usually the best policy. (I'm a terrible lier. I just can't pull it off. My conscience always gets to me. That and I can't remember a damn thing, so I would never know what I told to whom.)
Yes; I curse sometimes. (All the damn time.) Yes; I have changed a lot mentally over the last year. (Most definitely. For the better now that I have removed that negative influence.) No; I carry my knife/razor everywhere with me. (WTF?!?!? Uh... no.)

Music:

Let's see about this... Basement Jaxx, The Caesars, Phillip Glass, The New Pornographers, Tchaikovsky, Fatboy Slim, Polyphonic Spree, Bjork, Daft Punk, Scissor Sisters, The Killers, Dave Brubeck, Big Band Jazz, Beethoven's Piano Sonatas, Cassius, Propellerheads, Vivaldi, etc, etc...

Movies:

This is the point where I list the movies that made me laugh, cry, think about the meaning of it all, or simply affected me to the point that I had to re-evaluate my existence up until then. hrmmm.... no pressure....
The easy ones: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Spiderman I (haven't seen II), Shrek and Shrek 2, Chicken Run, and X-Men (1 & 2).
Interesting, and loverly, in their own way: Se7en, Less Than Zero, Donnie Darko, House of Yes, Shawshank Redemption, Daytrippers, Dogma, Best in Show, Party Girl, But I'm A Cheerleader, Mala Educacion (Bad Education), Run Lola Run, Garden State, Fight Club, Pecker, and Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion.

Television:

I used to be one of those snobs who said "I don't watch TV." And it was true. Then I got sucked into the world that is Digital Cable. It was like going from being a sane, sober person to freebasing heroin. Well, maybe not *quite* like that, but it does seem that I'm all about my next "fix." Hrmmmm... wonder how Martin Sheen feels about me referring to watching an episode of "The West Wing" as a "fix."
So... in no particular order: The West Wing, Law & Order (the original, thank you...), most any of the British comedies, Family Guy, CNN Headline News (I admited to my geekdom a LONG time ago), Seconds From Disaster and Megastructures (see previous statement), The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Stargate SG-1, re-runs of The Golden Girls, Designing Women, and The Cosby Show, and of course, Talk Sex with Sue Johanson. Even I have learned something from this woman. Now who thought that I'd ever say that?
I'm a recovering Trading Spaces addict, and am trying very hard to steer clear of TLC altogether. With hope, prayer, and intervention from the divine, I think I can make it.
