About Me

..
SORDID SORCERY is not a group/band, but a kind of solo-project, which has been started in the year 2005. It was basically founded by Mr Green, a musician from germany. Concerning the project, he works on the essential things like song-writing, arranging and performing stuff. He's playing almost all instruments on his (studio-) recordings himself, so most of the time the mighty Hammond tonewheel organ hooked up to the famous Leslie-Speaker, but also synthesizers/keyboards, drums and assorted percussion. After almost two years of rudimental recording sessions, the project received great support by Phil Dous, a good friend of Mr Green. Phil (also a drummer/percussionist) is an educated audio-engineer and is doing anything and everything around the productions as such, so in detail recording stuff, mixing and mastering. Since they have been doin' a couple of recording-sessions together, they really start off to act like some "matched pair tubes", which means they work hand in hand and share the same notions and expectations how this and that has to sound like! But also guest musicians are always welcome, for example on the latest track ("under the surface") you can listen to a skilled saxophonist called AndiG. Mr Green and Phil are lookin' forward to complete the first EP. This will take some time, of course, but in March 2009 it should be finished... The style won't be described in words here any longer, 'cause on the one hand it's somehow difficult to make a description and on the other hand everybody should have the chance to make up his mind while listening to the tracks! Waiting for new stuff to come...very soon hopefully...stay tuned, guys! You can also visit my profile on: www.iajo.org -- germany -- Ulf Siebeck
