Miyamoto formed, made some great music, then sadly split... This is the Miyamoto tribute page.From the grotty shithole that is the Charters Arms function room, Furry Neil's birthday do, copius lashings of Stella art-woah; Danny, Ben & Woody decided on an impromtu band formation and gig. Good, but ropey songs began to form and the guys realised they were onto something! A bit later down the line, Hade ventured out from his hole, got drunk, went to see Miyamoto at Le Charters and asked if he could do something with the band. It needed a bit of gelling together and a "third" ear. Hade joined as guitarist shortly after..Months passed, gigs, drink, drugz.. Then Andy came on the scene with his shiney trumpet. This fitted quite nicely with some of the more mellow tunes that Miyamoto were pumping out, such as "tell me" and "Y'know". Andy stayed a feature.. More months passed and James came along with his moog.. Only played a handfull of gigs with Miyamoto, and never got to be on a demo, unfortunately, but James brought along a bit of psychedelia to the group, and an electronic edge.Miyamoto moments have been: Playing BBC Raw Talent in Hull Playing the Leadmill, supporting The Liars Headlining at DeMontford University for Stop the War coallition Having a track used for a short film that went to the Cannes Film Festival Having written some of the best music to come out of South Yorkshire
