FAKE BLANCHE

Born in 2006, Fake Blanche originally were the lovechild of four young musicians from Halle/Saale, Germany. Initially playing a more post-punk style we soon grew unsatisfied with the obviousness that is inherent in this concept. Unfortunately back then we weren't able to pursue our quest for a darker, more psychedelic and complex musical approach due to our drummer and our guitar player having to leave the band for academic reasons.

After going on hiatus in autumn of 2007 the original drummer re-joined Fake Blanche in early 2009 after he had finally realised his former bandmates were lost without him. In search of a new guitar player we soon found Johannes, who is not only a master of his trade but also a brother in hairstyle. The latest addition to our line-up is bassist Christian, who we found lying in a cradle by the door of our rehearsal room. Having been abandoned by his former bandmates we coddled him up until he was strong enough to pick up his instrument again. Frithjof, who had been playing the bass up to this point changed to (electric) organ and Fake Blanche were complete.

Now we are ready, willing and we hope there is somebody out there who listens.
