My family, computer, computer and video games, reading, music, dancing, darts...even though I haven't played in a couple of years, taekwondo, and after I have gastric bypass surgery, working out at a gym and swimming.

I'd like to meet:
If I were to meet someone special, he would have to want to be part of a family. Not seperate himself when he comes home. Taking a part in our lives. Being honest, except when I gain weight, then he can lie...lol. (Being totally honest here, have a lot of weight I would love to get rid of). I want no more irresponsible jerks who tend to suddenly lose their jobs when we get together and then need a place to stay and then take over. Hint, Hint. It takes two responsible people to make a home run if there are two adults in it. One can not, and I will not, do it for both. Don't cheat, follow the law, that kinda means NO DRUGS, enjoy life, be serious when needed and spontaneous when not. I just want one day to have someone love me and mine as we are. Be a part of, not live there, give orders, give us 60$ out of the tax return and run to the bar with the rest...lololol. Serious, that is what happened with my last. A simple life, what every little girls dream of. The simplist dream is the hardest one to grasp.

Music:
Now music is another kettle of fish. That all depends on my mood. My ultimate favorite is classic rock from the 80's. Country has always been a favorite as well. Give me AC/DC, KISS, Billy IDol, any day. I love stuff that I can sing along with if you can call it singing. lol But I also loved the pop dance music from that time frame as well. Then there are times when I like listening to the old church music. Like I said, it varies. Opera and classical are a no go for me. Can not stand the stuff. I can deal with Enya, and Yanni if need be. Just not all the time.

Movies:
.. FLIXSTER WIDGET START -

.. FLIXSTER WIDGET END -Movies...hhmmmmm...horror, suspense, action, martial arts, comedies, some teeny bopper and kids movies are okay as well. But the gorier, the better. No grade b trash. I like the real looking stuff, except when it is real. Then I feel sad for the hurt involved. I'm a sap. But I do not like the sappy love story stuff. Too unrealistic. I love to have my reading time late at night or during the day when I have time.
Television:
I like some court shows, some of the realistic tv shows, DOG the Bounty Hunter, House (even if he is a jerk most of the time), CSI, The Division, Friends (before it ended), Berney Mack, Simpsons. Basically, whatever. OH, and on weekend days sci-fi channel that plays all the monster, creature type movies.
Books:
And my choice of books are pretty much along the same lines as movies. Horror, suspence, true crime, crime (I love learning how the pathologists solve some of these musrders).
Heroes:
My mother for dealing with all that she has had to deal with in her life, my daughter's for surviving the battles that were put before them through a divorce, home burning down and personal issues, My sister who has been to hell and back and is going through it again. And my sister in laws. One for being there for her stepson as well as their daughter. The other for learning all that she has learned and accomplished with a business of their own. My brothers for being MEN, taking care of their families the way the deserve, my Dad for going to work all these years for his family, for being there for mom, and for both him and mom teaching us kids the right ethics in life.
All survivors of domestic violence (male or female), 911, the rescuers, the survivors of drug/alcohol abuse. Anyone who has risen above the hardest of times. And the homeless who still try to make it. And I do not mean the ones who do not want to find jobs or take care of their families or are just too lazy about life. I am talking about the ones who have had something happen that put them in a position that they never would have been in and try to get out of it. Those are my heroes.
