DiaRGi is a talented self-taught r&b/soul singer, who has grown musically in the multiple jam sessions hes been part of, as well as performing with different bands in some of the hottest bars and clubs around the south of Spain. He spent a considerable amount of time in NYC, where he performed with some of the best musicians in noteworthy places like the Village Underground, or the well known Soul Café; there he gained valuable stage experience while fine tuning his style while working with a bevy of artists. Because of this journey of musical manifestations, along with his remarkable and extensive musical background, he has developed a poignant, sultry and elegant way of singing both in Spanish and English in a way that combines sensuality, spirituality, and enlightenment.DiaRGis style captivates and overwhelms all kinds of audiences by his ability to fuse soul, gospel, hip hop, funk, and jazz effortlessly. He reaches back deep pulling from the spirits of classic Soul and R&B artists like Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Prince, and Donny Hathaway while still creating a niche in the music with his own sound in a way that will make artists 30 years from now reach back to him.In 1993, he met deejay Kul (MondoFonk, Polygram Bozoo/Crabshell, 1998).Hes a dj, self-taught musician & producer who with a fine tuned ear produces stunning works of musical art. Armed with mellow string arrangements, soulful horns, and funky bass lines hes amassed a vault of beats and tracks that even the most uninspired artists will shine over.Hes very influenced by the sounds from the late 70s and the early 80s; electro-funk, jazz-funk, ol school hiphop and disco-soul funk (D-Train, Fatback, Loose Ends, Ramsey Lewis, Mtume, etc.).
