I wrote My Own Book, Read a glimpse and Let me know what you think K!!!!!!!!Glimpse:: A family is torn apart when Daddy begans to drink and ends up killing a young girl, this story talks about children who learn to survive and have to fight the whole way. When foster care is not a option and family survival is you choose to stay together stand strong and fight it out. This book shows you the pain and struggle of five children and the heart and soul connection that keeps them going.. HERE YOU GO !!!!!!!I remember my mother screaming running in the house not knowing where to go, she was to upset and confused. The officer walked behind her and asked her a series of questions trying to understand the situation. He was a very tall man with a stern face and a bald head. “ Maam your husband has killed a young girl and we need to know his whereabouts’ and if you know you need to tell us right away?†he told her firmly. My mother really had no idea where he was, but her confused looked gave the officer a different opinion. “I have no idea where he is†my mother said taking a seat on the couch still holding her purse. My older sister Tracy knew the girl that had gotten hit at 90mph speed by my drunken father which caused for her head to come off at impact. The officer took a seat on the couch and tried to show my mother his concern, he gently rubbed her knee and asked her ‘where do you think he may be maam, the sooner we find him the sooner we can help him and find out what happen†the officer said in a voice he probably uses for his 2 year old daughter. My mother raised her blood shot red eyes and looked at us sitting on floor by her leg and decided that if he was in jail it would be the best place for him, after all he drinks every night which leads into a argument which leads into my father beating her until she cant take anymore. “he may be at his friends Al’s house in Victorville hiding out†we moved here from Philadelphia, so my mother knew my father only had so many friends. The officer took the address and signaled his partner and ran out the door, but not before he warned my mother that if my father comes here he must know about it or she herself would face criminal charges and we would go a foster home
