I like my women like I like my gravy - cold, gray and lumpy!

About Me

I live in a little house in the woods with my two dogs - Jack and Roland. I have been selling comics for 24 years now. Before that I was a reporter. I read a lot, go to movies and generally do as I please, budget permitting. I like box turtles, dogs, happy people and good chili. I hate people texting while they're driving, high gas prices and anyone who defends Michael Vick.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Rick Blaine, Charlie Chan, Michael Valentine Smith, Elwood P. Dowd, Henry Jones Jr., Larry Talbot, Tom Destry, Ben Grimm, Atticus Finch, John Greystoke, Clark Savage Jr. and Marion Ravenwood.

Music:

60s Motown, classical, jazz, lots of stuff.

Movies:

Indiana Jones, Marx Brothers, old Universal horror films, Thin Man, John Ford/John Wayne, Caddyshack, Animal House, Spider-Man, Casablanca, Godfather I and II, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, anything really good.

Television:

24, Torchwood, CSI, Adult Swim, Monk, Coupling, Monty Python's Flying Circus, JL Unlimited, Squidbillies, The Office, Heroes, Frazier, Buffy, Angel and Firefly.

Heroes:

Haven't had a real hero since Bobby Kennedy was shot.

A Monstrous Day

Jack is doing fine!

I picked Jack up at the vet's office this morning. He was raring to go - couldn't wait to get out of there and get home. He has a shaved back leg and a partially shaved front leg (for the intravenous ...

Bears, baths and baseball

It's Sunday morning, my favorite blog time. I'm sitting here sipping coffee from my U.S. Army cup while Jack and Roland are out in the woods. I love these times - why can't every day be Sunday morning...

The right to arm bears

So I get back from my evening walk tonight and hear my next door neighbor (who is also my uncle) yelling at something telling it to get out of there. I can't see anything because of all the trees, und...

Race Night in Downtown

Today is the day they shut the streets off in downtown Bristol and invite all the NASCAR fans to come by and walk around. I'm sure it's all very festive for the race fans. But I've been here around si...

Ever since we moved into the new comic book store, we've slowly been changing and improving things in the new location. For instance, we just junked the old credit card machines we've had for years fo...
