Traveling! and when I do it is w/o itenerary. I believe that one surprise is worth, one hundred scheduled events. I like to visit new places, and be on self tours. On two separate occasions, the catamaran almost left me while we were snorkling. I just love to explore, and can be caught up in "stopping to smell the roses". I participate in sports, football, volleyball, and skiing being top of da list. Though I was on the tennis team, and rollerblade on weeknights. I have studied method acting, and all visual arts. I have been in too many indy films, and three commercials. The stage was a true passion of mine for awhile, and one day I might return. I have written scripts, and short stories. To wind down after work, I leave the cell phone in the house, and retire to my gardening, and pool maintenace duties. I enjoy fine dining, and like to try new restaurants with good company. I want to visit Europe, and moreover just want to sit on some town promenade, or even a cafe on a narrow side street. We, from NY, have been trained to lead life as a scheduled race. Before we know it, life, and this short time we are granted, pass us by. For anyone who has lost a loved one, the best way to honor their memory is to live like there is no tomorrow.............carpe diem, my friend!
My mothers father. My Guardian Angels. Vincent Van Gogh. Ernest Hemingway. Billy Joel. and why not Roselyn Sanchez!: ) They all have had influence on my life..........the bastards! LOL
Depends on my mood, or whether I am exercising, driving, or dancing.I just purchased Los Lonely Boys, and Nickelback. I love to dance to Latin music, and am presently taking private lessons! ; ) I give anything a shot once.........Though I work out to Guns, and Roses, Limp Bizkut, and Metallica, I have a soft spot for Aleisha Keyes, Corinne Bailey Rae and any good sounds of soul. Oh, and if it has tempo, I can dance to it! Yeah I have dance training compounded by great rhythm.......this cracka can dance! At least better than anyone else on the floor! ; ) Natasha Bettingfield's "Unwritten", could have been penned by me.
Ok, this I will try to keep current. I do not get out to the theatre to much, but my Liquid 52" is good enough. Overall I do like action, but with a good story. The best action, script, story, in my humble opinion, was Gladiator. It had it all, and look how many tried to copy. Alexander........sucked. Troy, besides all the women going gaga for Pitt in a skirt, it lacked. And many others, too many to mention. 300 had grit, action and was based on one epic battle............for shear action and cause I relate to the take no shit in my own home attitude, yeah I liked it. Oh and men like that do exist........though we be the few! ; ) Give me a story! Give me some truth..........like most anything John Cusack is in (though he plays the same character every time) The scripts have truth. Jack Bull was his best acting............as was Gilbert Grape, for Leonardo Dicaprio. Even an average actor like Dennis Quaid, knocked me over as Doc in Wyatt Earp. I recently saw him in a movie........."Come see The Paradise?" About WW2, and the mistreatment of the Japanese. The films draw for me was the story, and the script..........kinda like "Rudy". Basically...........if you want to write me about film, we could make it an allnighter, cause, I love to talk about film. All aspects of. Oh yeah and I was the original Star Wars fan.......no really I was : ) If you wanna go classics......."Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" with Sidney Poitier, and Spencer Tracy, with Katherine Hepburn. "To Sir with love"!again Sidney Poitier. "Roman Holiday" with Gregory Peck, and Audrey Hepburn,"House Boat", with Cary Grant, and Sophia Loren.........Yeah, I guess I get a lil long winded on film.IF YOU WANT TO JUST TAKE OUT YOUR BRAIN AND LAUGH......Napoleon Dynamite is a good place to start. Than work your way back..........through the American pies, and then back to History of The World.
The Sarah Connor Chronicles was good....but what happened to it? The new B.S.G. is pretty captivating. Yeah I watch Dancing With The Stars......I'm quite the dance critic! LOL Ultimate fighter, and boxing, on classics. I'm a romantic, but I'm also a physical guy! ; ) Pinks, Dirty Jobs, and for fun..........Scrubs, John Stewart, and The Office. So what's left......The Animal Channel, History Channel, and oh yeah MTV........hehheh
All of Anne Rices works, but mostly the Vampire Chronicles. Art Buchwalds, Remember Paris was surprisingly enjoyable. I write so I have an offering of Yeats, O'neill, and Even Sam Shepard in my library. I have a monthly sent to me called "Angels"...........inspirational stories of angels in daily life. Most recently, Sidney Poitiers autobiography "Measure of a Man"
"How will I know if she is one of the great ones?" "Make sure when you pull up you lock your door, and after helping in her side walk around the back of the car. If she isn't leaning over in the first few seconds to unlock your side.........kick her out and leave her on the curb!"
