I am here for Friends

About Me

Born in East Orange, NJ, I grew up in Somerset, NJ, lived in Montclair, NJ until 17 years ago. I graduated from Montclair State with a BA in Speech and Theater. I'm married to Jason Hunt. Jason is a gifted and sensitive artist who draws in pencil. You can view his work at www.myspace.com/huntarts or www.huntarts.net Jason and I currently have our dear friend Nadia sharing our home with us. She's loyal a friend as one could ever ask for. She cooks great Indian food, has a great sense of humor, and looses control taking photos with her camera. She's determined not to let me forget these days in my life as they're all captured on myspace, youtube, one true media, and my office at home. Thank you Nadia. You're very sweet. We also share our home with Josh. Our dog that Allison found and placed in our care. Allison, we're forever grateful. He's been a pure joy. He is also spoiled by the three of us. Nadia now photographs Josh, I've been replaced. On the professional side: I've been performing regularly with professional improvisation comedy groups since 1979. The First Amendment, Broadway Local, and Unexpected Company were the casts I spent the most time with while working in Manhattan. December 20, 1990 I was offered a contract at the Comedy Warehouse of Walt Disney World's Pleasure Island and performed here for just short of 18 years for all clubs on PI recently closed. It remains the best job I've had to date. It kept me challenged while providing me with a great sense of joy. What a great feeling to be around laughter all night, and get paid for it. Simply delightful! Soon I will open in a Disney Show at EPCOT. It's called 'What's Your Problem'. The show is performed in Innoventions West at the Slapstick Studios where we will involve the audience in a game show and fun with Velcro brand hook and loop adhesive fasteners. Many of my co PI cohorts will be there as well. and I'm certain they will contribute to making this job another joy. www.slapstickstudios.com On the personal side: I've had the opportunity to ride my bike in 6 rides to raise money for agencies that assist and educate people with AIDS. 3 rides were from Orlando to Miami. One ride from each of the following; Raleigh North Carolina to Washington DC, Niagara Falls to Battery Park in Manhattan, and the last ride was from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Jason joined me in the California ride. I could not have been more proud of him. He picked the hardest one to do as his first. We trained as best we could in Florida although those California mountains were not like any of the hills here in Florida. We did it none the less. 7 Days of climbing, Jason, and 2000 new friends.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

..What you are in love with, what seizes your imagination, will affect everything. It will decide what will get you out of bed in the morning, what you will do with your evenings, how you will spend your weekends, what you read, who you know, what breaks your heart, and what amazes you with joy and gratitude. Fall in love, stay in love, and it will decide everything. -Pedro ArrupeJASON HUNT - REAL LIFE 101 Interview
