Igor’s love of music was inherited and inspired by his parents – a father who was a drum and guitar player and a mother who was a professional dancer; this is where he inherited his absolute pitch and sense of rhythm.
At the young age of 10 he took great interest in the guitar and attended music school for a short time. Igor felt that he gained more by self education and didn’t resume his professional music education until a few years later. At that time he took classes in drums (which, by the way, Gavroche admired most of all) xylophone (an obligatory instrument at school), tambourine, musical triangle, kettle-drum, castanets, etc.
DJ Gavroche realized that he was not cut out for the confined structure of schooling and he set out to organize a group of like-minded people and started to perform as a drummer, leader and inspirer. The next 4 years were a crucial moment in his life; his friends were being drafted, entering universities and the hip-hop movement was coming into play. Gavroche took up break-dance and became the producer of hip-hop phonograms and recorded a studio CD.
He then moved to Poland where many opportunities were available and a huge number of new projects were running through the head of a street revolutionary. With his knowledge of music, new vinyl record-players and a lot of new contacts with music and club figures his career of a DJ took off.
He became acquainted with the famous promoter of Agency Diskoteq, they together managed to realize project “Russian Revolution†in one of the Krakow clubs. With the informational technologies that Gavroche had at his finger tips he was able to turn out more available and efficient CD’s. All of this made his performances more positive, vivid and exclusive.
Gavroche is a generator of new advertising slogans and names of parties, the rhymer and the real street revolutionary and being the ideologist and founder of “FuckTheGlamour†an Independent DJ’s Community, makes Gavroche an interesting and promising DJ. He has already conquered main dance stages in Poland, Belarus, Russia and the Ukraine.
