The Blissetts

About Me

The Blissetts returned to the live scene in August 2007 when we headlined the IDIOT PUNKFEST at The Flag in Watford.
We ply our trade in a car crash of hardcore punk and old skool rock. Drawing on our influences we developed an uncomprimising style along with fired up anti-politically motivated lyrics and a sound that hits you faster than Bruce Lee's fist.
We recorded our first single 'Destruction Day' in July 2005 and put it out on our own label. We followed it up with gigs aplenty and also saw the title track of our single appear on 'The Harder The Better Vol 11', a compilation of bands from all over the world, released by USA based Turkey Vulture Records in April 2006, resulting in us having admirers from as far away as Indonesia.
The entire Destruction Day CD is available to download for free via our main website, it ain't gonna be available for much longer!
2008 saw The Blissetts headline major gigs in Watford for both TCCF Promo and Monkeyboy Promotions and also made the Semi-Finals for Monkeyboys Battle Of The Bands. We have also played the Hertford Marquee with The Pistols. Any punk bands or promoters out there that can put us on or want to play with us, get in touch!!
