With such a short attention span, anything can really catch my eye, but for how long? A few things that I love: Astrology, Shoes (which is something new), Lindt Chocolate Truffles, Calligraphy, Animals, Dallas Cowboys (I heart Tony Romo), Going Green (one step at a time), Jones Soda (Green Apple), Starbucks White Chocolate mocha & Frappucinos(damn you Northerners!!!), Photography, Ikea, Space.com, Corvettes, etc etc etc...
But I'm sure there something else... hmm...
The person who dreamed up the Microsoft Surface.. just google it, you'll see. ;)
I'm a very open minded person when it comes to music... And I'd like to take this moment to express myself about this matter.
I've listened to every style of music there is, and believe that there is no one style that is better than the rest. I can't stand to be around when a person talks about why some music should not exist, why some people should not be called artists. A song written by one, and sung by another is still a song. A beat mixed with electronica, rather than instruments is still a beat. A person who mixes an old song with a new one is, still an artist. And ART is in the eye and ears of the beholder. Because if we were all meant to listen to one certain type of music, shouldn't we also have one make of car, one brand of clothes, one style of hair, one type of government, one religion, one race of people?
And that's all I have to say about that.
But I would like to add that a ver few of my favorites are (and do notice the wide spectrum):
Dixie Chicks, A Perfect Circle, M. Buble, K. Chesney, Tool, B. Spears, Trans-Siberian O., Eminem, Timbaland, but I really dont want to start a list...
I love movies. There are way too many to name here... but the ones (that I can think of off the top of my head) that I enjoy watching 100 times or more would be(forgive me if I forget a few, in no particular order): The Notebook, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Last Samurai, 300 , Any Given Sunday, Gladiator, Titanic, Up in Smoke, Caddyshack, Forrest Gump, Harry Potter, Flowers in the Attic, Poltergeist, Wedding Crashers, Beauty and the Beast, Nemo, Pearl Harbor, Ever After, Phantom of the Opera, Transformers... just to name a couple. =)
The Office - Desperate Housewives - Greys Anatomy - The Real Housewives Series - Rules of Engagement - Heroes - Survivor - Amazing Race - House - How I Met Your Mother - House Hunters - 3 Sheets (check it out)etc etc.. But ofcourse that's when the writers are not on strike, interupting my scheduled programs. How selfish! =P
I love romance novels, and anything else that may be interesting at that time... which can include, but not limited to: Architecture, Astrology, Medicine, as well as any book written as a guide to raising this 4 year old. Ha! (I completely recommend Knight in Shining Armour if your into romance!)My favorite Magazines are: Parents, Martha Stewart Living, Real Simple... as well as the random selection that comes to my work. ;)
My Prodigal Son:My reason to wake up every morning... no really, he wont let me sleep!
My Grandma:
Can you imagine these lives of people born in the early years of 1900? (My grandma was born 1935) To live the depression, go through so many ups and downs with wars, not to mention the changes for women... & to go from no television, to a world of fast-paced ipods, iphones, etrade, the www, dvd's, and everything can be had in an instant, with just the right amount of money! If you think about how much the world has changed in my grandmas 70+ years... and to know that she's still laid back and ready for more, only ever so often saying those famous "If these kids only knew how bad we had it growin up" You would have her as a hero too. (But I dont share, so buzz off)(And my mom too.. she raised me, which is something.. and she did it all on her own.)
