'Soul Drummer' is the project of Saul Smith from Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia. Saul's love for music and drumming has taken him around the world in search of inspiration, new ideas and sounds. 'Soul Drummer' is about connecting people, community and celebrating life through music and in particular drumming.Saul has had a long history of music performance and has played and studied music in the U.S, Japan, Africa, Cuba, Brazil, Italy, Germany and throughout Australia. Having played along side people such as Ben Lee and currently Old Man River, Paul Turner and The Drop, Saul seeks to inspire and entertain. Drumming performance, workshops and sessions are the main aspects of 'Soul Drummer', however, he also makes and sells traditional African drums and does drum kit and percussion tuition.
