About Me

Born in the city of Kingston, on the tiny island of Jamaica, where rhythmn pulsates and people gyrate to the sounds of Reggae music. At the early age of 8(eight), Ace developed an interest in the guitar, even going so far as an attempt to fashion one out of cardboard and some thread (of-course dat neva did work)...lol, and the love for and interest in music just kept growing. Internship in the biz began in the early eighties, with that curiosity questioning the arrangements, and compositions heard everyday from radio and telivision programing.
Fresh out of high school in the mid eighties, ACE embarked on this journey, as a musician placing no limits on creativity and blend. Colaborating was with a group of young enthusiastic friends working with little musical knowledge, all just having fun while creating something of a stir in the community. That experience of course, brought also a world of exposure and opened up a listership to folk and other NATIVE music forms.
Moving to London, and having completed a course in Audio Engineering, again there came the call to creative energies in the form of a London based group, that was not only a musical blend, but also a unit with various ethnic and social backgrounds, namely; a British Drummer, West African Guitarist, Sweedish Saxophonist, and Nigerian vocalist, together brought a wide range of influences that spanned Reggae, Rock, Funk, African and R&B.
Fast forward to 1996 (Kingston, Jamaica), where ACE joined the Reggae/Rock group 'GIBBY',... One that gained critical acclaim on and off the Island, and featured on the cover of 'Billboard Magazine' for their adaptation of crossover music. Whilst continuously working in and out the studio, alongside some of Jamaica's better known artistes, performers and producers, ACE had also been playing bass and or engineering for other local and internationally known artists, including 'LUCIANO', 'BENJY MYAZ', BLACK UHURU', 'FREDDIE McGREGOR' 'JUDY MOWATT', 'TOOTS & THE MAYTALS', ANTHONY B, 'BIG MOUNTAIN' and 'LEON & THE PEOPLES'.
... most recent works include, recording with a new and promising artist originally from Jamaica... "RUTH" , and working with well known guitarist/songwriter Errol Moore on something special for the near future.... soh watch dis, "Don't fight it, jus work wid it".
