Prepare for Glory

About Me

I'm an artist, what that exactly entails I'm still trying to figure out. I paint, I sculpt, I draw, I do whatever it is that my brain does when I go to that place. As for my future I'm up in the air as whether I want to be a high school art teacher or just go into straight illustration. Where's that damn life handbook when you need it? Music is my obsession, friends are my life line, and any question you ask about me I'll answer. I enjoy meditating, reading, watching movies, practicing martial arts with my friends, having long theoretic and philisophical discussions, and just being human and alive.

My Interests

Art in all its forms but mostly drawing and painting. Music, especially rock but like most people nowadays I listen to a wide variety of genres. I love a good movie that makes you think, but I enjoy a great book even more. I bike ride during the spring and summer, play video games with my friends, and just act stupid for my own amusement. if you laugh along its just a bonus.

I'd like to meet:

Future friends and future lovers, people who will enrich my life and teach me new lessons. Those I can help and those that can help me. People who think, people who feel, and people who want to do something with their life. I prefer people who are balanced in as many ways as they can attain. If you're interested in art, if you like to read, if you like music, if you like a good conversation, and you like to laugh then I want to meet you. . .probably.

Music:

A Perfect Circle, Jack Johnson, Nine Inch Nails, Ben Harper, Vast, VNV Nation, Razed In Black, Counting Crows, Caroline's Spine, DeathCab for Cutie, Alkaline Trio, old Offspring, Jimmy Eat World, Tool, Postal Service, D'ntel, Oleander, Spineshank, Depeche Mode, The Police, Genisis, Orgy, 80's music (but not hair metal), classical soundtrack scores, and a bunch of other stuff along those lines

Movies:

Donnie Darko (All time favorite), Super Troopers, Shao Lin Soccer (FUNNY friggin movie). 300 (FUCKING AMAZING despite historic and mythological innacuracies) Marvel Comics movies, Dune, Children of Dune, Johnny Depp movies, Tim Burton movies, John Cussack movies, and damn my friend Stephen for making me watch more movies than I can ever remember. hehe

Television:

Adult Swim and Cartoon Network, Invader Zim, that's about it. I miss the days when saturday morning cartoons were actually abundant and good and I was dumb enough to believe there was actually something good on tv.

Books:

The Dune series (mostly the ones by Frank Herbert which are FAR superior to the prequals) Star Wars, Lord Of the Rings, Silmarillion, Dark Tower, 1984, and most Sci -Fi

Heroes:

I have yet to find one single person who embodies everything I strive to be and that to me would make them MY hero. I doubt I ever will. There are people who have been champions for me such as my dad for all he's done for me, but to this day I still feel like I walk alone.
