Welcome to my crazy life

About Me

I'm 28 years old and have been married to my husband, Scott, for 8 years now. We had our son, Noah, back in September of 2005 and he has become our entire lives! Having a baby is so much work, but it's also a blast! In 2004, we bought a house in Avon, which is just outside of Indianapolis. Now that Noah is here we feel like we're quickly outgrowing it. We see where that goes......I am currently cooking for the day care, which includes over 130 children. I was in the 2 and a half's room, but this is so much less stress! I go in my kitchen, and nothing else affects me. It's great for now, but nothing I want to do forever. I am also in the process of taking online courses to finish my degree!

My Interests

I am a typical domestic housewife who loves to cook and bake, however with a 2 year old I don't get near the time to do that I wish I did. Before Noah was born, I was singing in the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir. It was always very time consuming, so I knew that after Noah's birth I'd have to give it up for awhile. I'll get back into it eventually. For now the church choir will have to do.

I'd like to meet:

My brother and Grandma, who died before I was born, Katherine Hepburn, Chris Farley, The Rock, Keith Urban

Music:

I have a huge menagerie of CD's to my name, like most people do. I'll do anything from instrumental and country, to hip-hop and blues. I suppose I am a true country girl down at heart, but I'll take a Sarah McLachlan CD any day of the week! She's my girl! eat;} able ta

Movies:

Both Scott and I love to watch movies, at home more than at the theater. We have a lot of action, drama and comedy in our collection, but I'm a huge sucker for a good love story. Some of my favorite movies are On Golden Pond, Wayne's World, Hope Floats, A Long Kiss Goodnight and The Sound of Music.

Television:

I am not a huge TV watcher anymore. By the time laundry is done, dinner and the kitchen are cleaned up and Noah is taken care of it's time for bed. I have to get up at 5:00 A.M. in order to get ready for work and get Noah fed and packed up for daycare. Scott is up earlier than that, so TV isn't really a priority in our lives anymore.

Books:

I have always loved to read, however I don't have much down time these days. I have read the entire "Left Behind" series, and am working my way through the "Harry Potter" books now. Becky got me started on Jennifer Crusie books, which are very funny. I swear, each of her characters remind me of someone I knew in high school.

Heroes:

To be totally honest, my parents are my biggest heroes. Anyone who can lose a child in their early 20's and still be as sensitive and caring about others as they are deserve a reward. They have been to hell and back, and never did they ask for people to feel sorry for them. They each have a very strong character, and I am so proud to call them my parents!
