How's this for an allegory? Since God decided that sin would be passed on to the children of Adam (that is a Christian dogma, by the way- the Jews don't believe that) then our sinful nature is his fault- not ours.
If I breed German Shepards with a heightened sense of aggresiveness and they bite my neighbor....whose fault is that? Is that my fault or the dogs? Obviously it is mine.
If you buy a car that causes your wife to have a flaming wreck because the breaks failed due to a manufacturing flaw- whose fault is that? Is it the asshole who made the car....or is it your fault?
God cannot condemn anyone for being "sinful" because it was his own ham-handedness and short-sightedness (not too sharp for an "Omnipotent" deity) that makes us as we are. Even Christians who have fully accepted the whole Jesus-con still sin all the time.
Stop blaming yourself (or us) and start blaming the one who is really to blame. God (assuming he exists in another lifetime) is just a sadistic egomaniac. He WANTS us to sin, that's why he created sin in the first place. Why create something and not use it? If he created it, it must have been because he liked it. So aside from being a sadist, he's also a pervert.
