Energetic and forceful modern Reggae/dub/dancehall, with bits of Latin and British-style Ska thrown in. Solid and danceable sound, revolutionary lyrics ? good stuff!

A challenge to jack-booted thugs everywhere, it’s a rangy piece of protest music sung in both English and Spanish. This isn’t music for granola-munching hippies. It’s a creative call to arms in the tradition of musicians and producers like Adrian Sherwood, The Clash of Sandinista, Dub Syndicate and Lee "Scratch" Perry.

..INFANTRY ROCKERS
The Infantry Rockers formed in 1999 as a dub reggae band based out of Madison, Wisconsin. Originally a collective of various musicians and djs under the leadership of Dub Insurgent, the Infantry Rockers evolved into its present direction, which now mixes ragga, cumbia, dub and dancehall reggae sounds.
With time and several membership changes, the most current lineup includes musicians from Africa, South America, Central America and the USA. Some of the band members have been fortunate enough to be influenced by sounds from their travels while living in Europe, South America, Africa and the Middle East. These experiences and influences shaped the bands sound and political direction.
The Infantry Rockers have always been politically active and community oriented by aiding various organizations through benefit concerts. The Infantry Rockers hope to promote various ideas of peace, justice, corporate accountability, anti-imperialism, as well as other social, economic and political causes through its music and actions.
