Disorder was founded by Steven Kovalcheck, and Quinn Loggins in '92. They were hell bent on creating the most "in your face" progressive metal they could at only 15 years old. They played their first gig with Teig Patel and Shane (don't remember the last name) at a birthday bash for Quinn. The two extra members decided to quit before the show, but Steve and Quinn rocked the three songs they knew as hardcore as they could! Later came bassist, Jeremy Sinclair, and Jonathan "Trip" MacArthur, amidst an array of other people passing through the band like Phil Couterier on vocals (didn't quite work), Dave Lackey on bass, and a few others. The core group was complete with Jeremy's bass work, and Trip's strong vocals, and even stronger evil screams! They proceeded to hone their craft in Quinn's practice room all day every weekend until they finally were ready for their first real show..........Diana Ramirez's birthday bash! Needless to say they rocked them out of the building....literally! The band was so loud that everyone filed out to the deck to listen! Next was the Cannery on 8th. Noone knew that the band was too young to get in the venue let alone drink alcohol, but they let the band play anyway, and then quickly escorted them out. They recieved raves from the bands they opened for as well as the guitarist from Type O Negative and supposedly some members of Pantera. They played numerous Zeitgeist events, and even more shows as regulars at the club "The Lite" in Hendersonville, TN, run by their favorite club owner, Bugg. Disorder, later called Obsidian, recruited the amazing bass stylings of Kory Crow, but then soon disbanded after citing "creative differences" by mid 1995. Here are the recordings from their last release in 1994. Keep in mind that the guitarist, Steve Kovalcheck, who is now an amazing jazz guitarist these days, is 15 years old and sick with the flu during these tapings, and still burns it up. Quinn, at 16, comes out kick drums blazing, and Trip attacks with a vocal arsenal that is flat out terrifying for a 16 year old! This is a site devoted to the greatest high school metal band, in my opinion, of all time! Ladies and gentlemen, I give you once again, .....Disorder!!!!!
