Undying

Undying was started in 1999 by Hiraedd with the sole purpose of creating austere black metal of a superior calibre; bleak, cold and grim. Various four-track recordings were made but for many reasons didn't come to fruition for several years.
One album, "A Haunt Within The Mist" was recorded in 2004, capturing the spirit intended.
Despite several attempts to build on this monument the spirit of Undying, like the titular Haunt, proved to be but a fleeting presence in this world, and as things stand at present "the rest is silence".
A note about politics:
Undying is firmly apolitical, and views black metal motivated by racism with disdain as a regrettable taint of puerile herd mentality and/or adolescent shock tactic to a noble artform, the resort of fools and failures unable to justify themselves through actual personal accomplishment or individual integrity. Anyone riled by this position is advised in no uncertain terms that Undying is not for them.
