About Me

To quote Broken Leaf, I'm a person before I'm a band - in fact can a person be a band. I won't be bothering you to vote for me on fake websites to promote my music or announcing endless gigs - just a bulletin now and then if I put a new song up or am giving away cds as I do from time to time of my music/muzak - then it's up to you whether to look in. Anyway theinnertemple's bio reads summat like... Played bass and rhythm guitar in various rock bands throughout University, before finally getting together with a bunch of like minded hedonists and forming a psychedelic rock band called Slide - as a band the best I'd ever played with. Then as usual lfe gets in the way, we all had babies, rehearsals became fewer and we just kind of fell apart. Bored and with more money than sense I bought a pc Cakewalk - originally I'd just planned to play around with the midi stuff but once I realised that you could record Audio and multitrack I was off. I started off just putting my guitar effects pedal into a SB16 soundcard and using a £5 mike from Tandy. Now I've got Cakewalk Sonar, an M Audio 66 Breakout box/Sound card and a Shure mike and the sound has improved no end (even if the songs haven't :-)). Most of the stuff I've recorded is done on my PC in the small hours when the kids are asleep. My music is influenced by the likes of the Super Furry Animals, EELS, Pink Floyd, Syd Barrett, Joni Mitchell, Gong, Massive Attack, Robyn Hitchcock, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, shit things happening to nice people, nice things happening to nice people and loads of other stuff.3 more songs at channel4 and some clips and stuff on my webpage If you listen I hope you like... tom 21/6/2006

At last, cd no. 4 is finished - Line up 13 tracks I'm really happy with. Bit of a dark one though, loads of stuff about death, loss, drug abuse and loneliness, some of the usual shouting at the world ...
