Freddie L. Washington, II is a native of Mobile, Ala. He earned his B.S. degree from the University of Alabama in Consumer Sciences, with a concentration in Financial Planning and Counseling. He has also attained his M.A. degree in Practical Ministry from Beacon University in Columbus, Ga. with concentration in Pastoral Ministries.
Elder Washington has distinguished himself as a minister of the gospel, music director, and musician for more than twenty years.
As a minister of the gospel, he is an ordained elder in the Lord’s church and serves as Executive Pastor of Cornerstone Full Gospel Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, under the spiritual mentorship of Bishop Earnest L. Palmer.
As musician and music director, he has been blessed to work with gospel music artists such as Pastor Marvin Sapp, Elder William Murphy III, Bishop Paul S. Morton and the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, The Anointed Brown Sisters, Benita Washington, and the world renowned, Stillman College Choir. Elder Washington also serves as Regional Minister of Music for the states of Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana, within the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International and is responsible for all aspects of music ministry for district, state, and regional conferences. Elder Washington travels throughout the southeastern portion of the U.S.A., conducting workshops and seminars on all aspects of music ministry, and praise and worship. He also serves as conference faculty member and Christian Education liaison for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, International, and adjunct faculty member for the trio program at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa.
Elder Washington currently serves as board member to Community Services Program of West Alabama and the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International Music Board He is also a member of Omega Psi Phi fraternity, inc.
He is married to the former Tomalisa Anjanata Lewis, and they have one daughter, Jasmin Tyri.
