Surface Unsigned 1st round review.
The last band of the first round of Surface Unsigned 2008 was Birmingham based four-piece My Lost Weekend. A little rough around the edges (forgivable considering they have been in their current line up for just one month) it was nevertheless an impressive performance from a band with a catchy Pop-Punk sound and who perform with bags of confidence, wit and energy. A heavy American influence runs through their sound – yet they manage to make it all very much their own thanks to some well-written material which never sticks too closely to the familiar Pop-Punk format.
