About Me

WE'RE 21 THIS YEAR!Founded in 1986 Filmbase is a support organization for the independent film and video sector in Ireland. This is a hugely exciting sector with the talent and energy to make a big impact on world cinema over the next few years.
Filmbase fulfills this role by facilitating Training & Development; Facilities Hire, Information Services; Representation and Lobbying for the low budget film sector.
Filmbase also publishes Film Ireland magazine and the Ireland on Screeen directory.
Filmbase runs a number of Short Film Award schemes and documentary schemes in conjunction with The Arts Council, RTE, TG4 and The Film Board.
Filmbase is grant aided by The Arts Council of Ireland
