About Me

Depending on what form I'm filling out, I guess I'm a wife [to a fantastic husband], mom [of two great kids], next-of-kin [to a couple of awesome siblings and my wonderful, if extremely chatty, mother], manager [of the web dept. for a small marketing company], and also not of Hispanic and/or Latino origin despite my surname, so if you're a telemarketer, please stop phoning me in Spanish. Gracias.

My Interests

Reading four page long myspace entries about interests? No? OK then: reading, poker , cooking, knitting, drinking vast amounts of coffee and vodka with most of the women and some of the men on this page, and if I continue I'll start to sound like someone's grandmother. At least I managed to avoid mentioning my canasta fetish. Oh...damn.

I'd like to meet:

Douglas Adams, Clive Barker, Jon Stewart, Jack Black, Dave Grohl, Adam Levine, Stephen King and Helen Mirren.

Music:

Whatever Greg's listening to, or what's on the XM radio at work. My own mixes make no sense to rational people so I keep them to myself. I pity anyone who has to drive anywhere with me and my (ahem, Greg's) iTrip.

Movies:

Anything funny and containing a Wilson brother stuck in it somewhere. I used to love horror movies until I had a kid; then being voluntarily subjected to intense fear didn't seem so novel anymore.

Television:

I try to really limit my TV viewing to Lost, Heroes, CSI, The Amazing Race, House, Survivor, The Daily Show, 24, American Idol, and about two dozen other shows. The TiVo corporation loves me.

Books:

Not picky. Sci-fi, fantasy, science, drama, horror, whatever - just nothing historic and non-fiction.

Heroes:

Hiro.

My Blog

Wow.

I don't even remember who handed me this photo the other day, Greg?  Probably.  I glanced at it and then - I looked again.  I couldn't look away.  We both have picked up that pictu...

Fight the pooper.

Oh my GOD, you have not gone through hell until you've stayed up until 4:00 am with a five year old who has decided several hours earlier that pooping is for suckers.  Does it matter that her b...

A boring and self-serving blog, so I remember.

Wow, it's been awhile since I wrote.  I'm now the mom of a five (!) year old and a one year old.  Oh my god...what happened?! Truly, I don't have much to write, because it's all boring, even...

My crap in a box...

Ahhhh the little things that make you happy.  Like, tonight, Lila, who is still getting over the stomach flu, hurled all over herself at dinner.  That part didn't amuse me, but the fact that...

I'm so tired lately, so I'm sorry for those of you who've read this before, but I'm posting basically the same thing I posted on my Mom's Board.  I haven't been able to log on here much but hopef...

RoboMommy

I must have the only kid in the world who is almost completely uninterested in Christmas.  I've asked Maia what she wants.  I've told her I'll write her a letter to Santa ...
