I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I host 3 shows on Freeze Frame Radio on Sunday Nights. Starting at 7 pm CST, its Underground 80s- an hour of punk/goth/new wave/ska from the 80s. The stuff that the kids with blue mohawks were listening too at the bus stop on their Sony Walkman cassette players on the way to their jobs at Cinnabon. From 8-10 pm, its Jazz 101. We turn down the lights and turn up the jazz. 2 great hours of music to wind down your weekend! From 10-11 pm, its College Daze Revisited- an hour of genre-free radio- experimental music/ ethnic folk, performance art, buddhist chanting, Johnny Cash, and The Sex Pistols!I invite you to tune into the station! We have nearly 10,000 songs for you to request from at the press of a button! Freeze Frame Radio is the internets Free Music Jukebox! When I am not in the studio, I spend 40-50-55 hrs a week doing graphic design and set up work for a print and publishing company. I can honestly say that I enjoy my work, a lot of the people I work with are good people, and I find it really satisfying to "win over" skeptical clients who've had less than stellar experiences before I was on the scene. I am also a trained technical writer and do editing work on the side. And when I am not at work, I enjoy going out for dinner and drinks with friends, reading, going for long walks, sitting by the river by my house, & I am a pretty darn good cook. I also enjoy working out, racket ball, water-skiing, going to concerts, plays, and sporting events.I enjoy traveling and like to take quick weekend trips to Chicago a few times a year. Last year I had my dream come true of taking a train ride across the United States- to New Orleans, a couple of months before Katrina hit. I hope to one day to go back. I love that town!In college, I was an English major and philosophy minor. I still love reading great literature and poetry, and hope one day to recapture that creative spark within me. On May 24, 2007 I became a Nichiren Buddhist. There are some great teachings here that have helped me through my rough times, and continue to inspire me.

I Am Me

I get to still be me. I will play the corporate game. I will have my flashes of business brilliance. I will be a tool. I will be a stooge. Whatever. Give me a money. I still get to be me.
