4486 productions was created in early 2002 in an attempt to bring something different to San Diego. We felt that the scene had become stagnant, and needed a little shaking up. With thousands of house and drum n bass events every year, we wanted to hear something different. It seemed as though promoters had forgotten about trance, progressive, techno, breaks, and the various other styles of electronic dance music.
Our first event took place on April 6th, 2002, and was called Elevated. It was an all trance dayparty at Mariners Point in San Diego. With 75-100 people in attendance, we proved to ourselves and others that San Diego was ready for something different.
Over the years, 4486 productions has produced and or helped produce tons of parties. Be it house parties, desert parties, underground rave events, or monthly events at local clubs, bars and coffee shops. We have a passion for what we do, and we're not going anywhere anytime soon.
