wine, cheese, really good cheese, (not so sweet) martinis and all things liquor, dark dark chocolate, food and social and the politics of food, various design, cooking, exercise, stuff...
You know how there's real oatmeal, you gotta boil it, flavor it, give it a lot of attention, before it becomes, well, oatmeal. Sometimes, it was worth it for all the trouble, sometimes it may even kick ass, but it took a lot to get there. And then there's Maple and Brown Sugar Instant oatmeal, all you add is water and it just rocks. I like instant oatmeal people, those that you can just through into a group, a party, a bar, and they just go. They are easy, fun, have a great sense of humor and have a lot to contribute. And you don't have to pull it out of them. Those people rock, and that's who I'd like to meet.
This is where I'd like to add the part about who I'd *not* like to meet:
Anyone who does not actually understand my little oatmeal thing. That is to say, this is not an open call to the world asking what your favorite oatmeal is... It's not even about oatmeal. Anyone who does not have something truely interesting to say in a message. If you plan on sending me a message that says "How do I get wiht that!?", please refrain. I mainly use Myspace to keep in touch with current friends, but am always looking to meet new people. I have no need to increase my friends list with pictures of people I don't know.
Billie Holiday, Blackalicious, Blitz, The Cars, De La Soul, Desmond Dekker, The Detroit Cobras, Elvis Costello, Elvis Presley, Finntroll, Frank Sinatra, Gorillaz, GnR, Ice T, Ice Cube, The Jam, Johnny Cash, Jurassic 5, Los Straitjackets, Mad Sin, The Misfits, Motley Crue, No Doubt, Otis Redding, Patsy Cline, The Pogues, Social Distortion, The Vindictives... there's more, infer from the forementioned.
Amelie, Raizing Arizona, Boondock Saints, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Big Fish, District B13, Gross Pointe Blank, Igby Goes Down, The Sweetest Thing, Love and a .45, Pump Up the Volume, Chocolat, Clerks I&II, Mallrats, Fight Club, The Rules of Attraction, LA Confidental, Nightmare Before Christmas, Chocolat, True Romance, RepoMan, Run Lola Run, Life is Beautiful... this could really go on for pages...
I might watch 2 hours of TV a week, if I put my mind to it...however, I do currently have a mild Battlestar Galactica obsession.
