About Me

My life pretty much revolves around outdoor sports, and teaching outdoor sports. Passive, nonconsumptive outdoor sports. The fact that I am not very good at any of these sports is irrelevant. Those who can't, teach.I am good at learning trendy new words and rehearsing Anchorman quotes so the college students I work with will think I am cool. My awesome wife Zana is down with the outdoor thing but hates Anchorman quotes so my life isn't quite perfect, but its close. Living in Vermont keeps my life close to perfect, as does the new scientific research that shows drinking coffee counteracts cirrhosis of the liver caused by alcohol.Other fun facts about me are that I don't have cable or internet in my house. I have a cell phone, but I do not carry it on my belt. I have five bicycles and four pairs of skis. I don't have a whitewater canoe but i finally got a paddle. I still stay out and play until dark. I can eat my weight in pasta. I can eat half my weight in cheese. I drive a subaru that smells like the inside of a running shoe and needs new spark plugs and shocks. And I do not "F" up every rapid.

My Interests

Telemark skiing, cycling, whitewater canoeing, sea kayaking, wilderness travel, talus fields, long difficult approaches to easy alpine climbs, short easy approaches to difficult ski descents, ultimate, reading, Philly sports, cat herding, building and eating sandwiches
