Without music, life would be a mistake!

About Me

Hi, I’m Roxanne Leigh. I was born in Cape Town and moved to London when I was 18. I’ve been here for almost seven years now, but it feels like yesterday. I wrote my first song when I was nine years old (by accident, long story!) I continued to write, but somewhere along the line I got so caught up in life and keeping my head above water that it wasn’t until recently that I began to pursue my dream of music again. Of all the things in the world, I would just so happen to be born with music in my blood – so I know that I am in for struggle. I know this business is hard, I know I have much to learn and I know that I will win some and then I will loose some too. There truly is no easy way in (well, for most people) and I know that I am in for many countless hours of hard work in dead end jobs to support this and make it work. But you know what else I know? That as long as you are here reading this and listening to my music, and as long as I am able to write my songs and sing them and you like them, then it is all worth it and nothing else matters. I’m in this for the long haul. As long as I have my youth, my health and your faith – I’m up for the struggle. So here’s to you, and here’s to me.
I really hope I’ll see you here again sometime, slowly things will start coming together. . .
