the boys have definitely upped the ante and are now bringing a quite varied albumwith several calmer moments enabling the listener to letting go of some of the steamgathered from listenging to the speedy Thrash anthems in between!"

this is one thunderously fine album. For a start, it's not all rifle-fire drums, and speed-of-light delivery. The vocals are sung, albeit with a voice that sounds seriouslydark and dense, but it's powerful as hell and you can hear the lyrics throughout. Meanwhile, the arrangements whip between thrash, power metal and traditional Classic Rock. The bandwill set up a rampaging juggernaut of a song then, and not always, but often enough tomatter, take it down an avenue you hadn't expected, and the times that they don't do thisbut just come up with a pure lightspeed nuclear slice of thrash, makes the rest of it soundeven stronger."

For their second effort, UK squadron Helgrind have unleashed a beast of thrashingproportions, which truly captures the spirit and energy of its forebears without any retrobullshit whatsoever. This is how thrash needs to persist in order to survive. True to theroots, but serious minded and worth paying attention to.
