Photography like as a way of watching, thinking, being… I could not answer in any other words but these ones. I think that to look by photography means to me observe, to examine, lingering over details and shapes, studying the scene in front of you, analysing its contents. How could this be possible without feeling the need to think, elaborating the meaning of occurred, with its causes and consequences, briefly thinking, even unconsciously searching within for emotions, pleasant or not, that have impressed the memory. But to think by photography means to polish off my creativity and technique, trying to impress on the film ideas, emotions and states of mind overpoweringly come out when I see something interesting, or that scene that deeply ravished me. In the light of these facts, I defy anyone to deny the certainty that to look and to think by photography is distinct from “to be†by photography… Somebody much more important than me said “to photograph is to set mind, eyes and heart aligned same aimâ€, and I think there is no reason why to raise an objection!I was born in 1977 in Bari (Italy), where I live and work.
