About Me

I'm a Photographer, Illustrator, and Writer looking to network, and before anybody asks, no - I can't hook you up with any of the models - they're mine I tell you, all mine - Hahaha!!
I've photographed and designed the Island Eyes web site for the last ten years and watched it continue to grow exponentially. What began as a desire to create a Modeling Agency to help bring more Filipina and Asian Models into the mainstream, has turned into something that shows no sign of stopping. I have photographed and designed the Island Eyes Calendar for the last six years and they keep getting better each year, thanks to the wonderful Models I have had the pleasure of working with. I get the easy job of sitting behind the camera and staring at the beautiful models all day. Sure, I've had to endure sunburns, the occasional cuts, bruises, rogue waves, falls, bee stings, seagull and beach squirrel attacks, but I think you'll agree, the results were worth it.

My Interests

Photography, Drawing, Painting - digital and traditional, Writing - screenplay and novel, Horseback riding, Hawaii, Monster movies, Shooting beautiful models as they roll around in the sand and surf getting tangled up in seaweed.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who needs help with their portfolio, headshots, photo retouching, or web site. Models who aren't afraid of getting a little down and dirty! I love shooting at the beach, so if you're not afraid of a little sand and surf, I want to shoot you! Remember, if you get wet, I usually get wet too, and I never put a model in harms way, unless I happen to knock you down as I'm running away from a wave to save my camera... Hahah... jk!

I want to meet and work with sincere people. Fortunately, most of the Models I have worked with have all been fantastic. From the moment they come out of makeup, to the moment they walk off the beach with sand in places unknown, everyone usually leaves with a smile on their face. Perhaps they bitch me out in their car on the way home... I don't know.

Empathy. Does everyone still know the meaning of that word? I'm raising my kids to understand it and feel it for others because too many people seem to have lost touch with the ideas of compassion. If one of my kids falls or gets hurt, they know I'm there for them. That's not babying them. By offering them compassion and caring, they will learn to have compassion and feel empathy for others. If you are the type of person who uses others without giving a moments thought to what you leave behind after you get what you want, I'll smile and be polite, but don't ask to sit at my table.

I enjoy working with people who are down to earth and have a smile on their face. Not a smile that was created by the new car they just bought, but the kind of smile that comes from watching kids play in a sprinkler, or watching an old couple who still hold hands as they stroll through the park. Those kinds of smiles are real. Sincere. And they last a lot longer than that new car smell.

A little info regarding test-shoots

First of all, modeling should be something that you enjoy doing. If it isn't fun for you, your photoshoot will suffer for it. If the smile on your face isn't real, then you're not having ...
