I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm Chris, but you probably already knew that. My life revolves around Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. I'm the lead sound engineer, and that means I get to climb around over shark tanks and thirty feet over a whale or dolphin stadium, installing things or taking them down. I engineer bands with a full concert set-up that I've scavenged all year from various places. I've gotten up-close with tigers and camels. I get to design the sound and lights for the haunted houses every october and special shows in December. I coordinate the camera people and operate the video switcher for the Shouka Show. One of my favorite things to do is just to sit in my bunker next to the backstage dolphin harbor, where they shot Adam Sandler's place in Fifty First Dates. I could sit there for hours just fixing things and working on projects while the dolphins swim around in the window. It's really cool. Basically, that's all I do. No social life. I work at the San Jose Event Center every now and then and I go to school a couple days a week for electrical engineering. I'm also a Venture Scout with my sisters. Currently I live for half the week on-campus at SJSU and take BART back to Vallejo every wednesday through Sunday. I'm getting really tired of that, so this year I'm going to buy a car and an apartment in Vallejo. In six or seven years I'll have a BSEE from SJSU, but I'll probably still be working for good old Marine World. My life is still sorting itself together, but it'll settle down eventually. I'll get a third job again and then I'll have enough money to support myself. All I need to be happy is my job, a lazy boy chair, and a big tv. One out of three aint bad, so I'm still workin on the last two.

it's been a while..

I don't know if I've updated since the summer started and I'm too lazy to check. I'm working at six flags, and that's all I'm doing. I actually like it. Beeing lead is a lot harder work than being a r...

It's 3 AM, and I just got back from work. Now I've got a dilemma...

I have a speech to give and a final to turn in in 4 hours. Is three hours long enough to sleep without any danger of oversleeping? I've slept through this class two weeks in a row, but that was becaus...
