I was born in Mishawaka, Indiana and raised in Hayward California… So I grew up on Funk and that Bay Area Rap… The first rap tape I ever owned was Too Short BORN TO MACK, that’s right I said tape. In the late 80’s I was in my first crew (L.O.C.) LOCED OUT CRIMINALS. The crew was made up of 6 rappers KG-SWISS, MARCUS MUDD, TERRAN, KWASSEE AND, Myself. We were well known in Fremont and Hayward California. We moved loads of mix-tapes at the local Junior as well as High Schools… Our celeb status in Hayward was due to KG-Swiss’s sweet flow and our fucking outstanding Dj, Dj Nerd, aka. Dj Freelance, Lance Sandoval (RIP you my guy Lance). We worked with a few Bay Area cats such as Cooly-G, Spice 1, J Bone to name a few… An interesting side note is that KG-Swiss actually wrote a verse on the very first Spice 1 Album.. Spice 1 didn’t even give credit or a shout out to KG-Swiss or any of us for that matter… Oh Yeah! Dj Nerd did the beat for 187 proof and didn’t get any credit either… My crew was the shit in the 80’s…  The LOC crew never broke up or had fights but we did start working on solo projects and never did anything as a group again but featured on each others albums frequently…
In the early 90’s I started Fat Wax Records with KG-Swiss and Cooly-G… With a ½†Tascam 8 track a Mackie SR24-4 and a CAD Mic. The studio was at Cooly’s house in Pleasanton, Ca. we had to record in the closet cause we couldn’t afford a booth… As Fat Wax we did 4 Major projects KG-Swiss’s “Secret Recipeâ€, King Czar’s “King Czar Mobbs†( this album was not released on Fat Wax) , Fitz’s “Heaven and Hell†and, J-Bones “Menace 2 Society†although many of these recordings are no more they have been lost and someone somewhere as some tapes but it is not I… I am going to post a lot of the recordings I do have here on this site you can check them out and hear the struggle to get the quality right there are many recordings that are bad and some are good but I want people to know everyone starts out somewhere and you don’t get to the finish line without running the race. In 1997 Fat Wax was dismantled… In 2000 I started Heated Records and signed Komain a South Bend native for my first project. Bayside Entertainment Nationally Distributed the first project released on Heated Records and it allowed me to introduce the Bay Area to South Bend, Indiana. I used a lot of my contacts to insure the distribution company would get behind it. The Album was a who’s who of the Bay and of South Bend… I locked in production from Sean-T as well as Dj Nerd obtained verses from Bay Area legends such as Sean-T, Celly Cel, Mac Mall. JT Tha Bigga Figga, Mac & AK and a very well underground cat by the name of Manip aka J-Pistol. I wish I could say we sold millions and made millions. However what really happened was I had created a great product but trusted in others to bring their “A Game†and our advertising budget suffered tremendously… The album did well locally as well as in Chicago, Kansas City, Washington DC, The San Francisco Bay Area and, Seattle… as a matter of fact we still hold the local artist sales record at Orbit. We were in their top 3 for over 16 weeks and stayed in their top 20 for 6 months. Even with the amount of success we did receive the distributor failed to pay monies owed and Komain’s management team fell short on delivering Point of Purchase advertising… I managed to get television adds on MTV, BET, USA and, ESPN. All in all I would have to say that Livewire was a successful CD… Komain is still making great music and is in a group called the Block Monsters… I wish him and his crew all the success in the world…
Heated Records was steps away from signing with Epic Urban in 2003 when Bad luck struck not once but twice. First my brother Lance Sandoval died due to heart failure and second I was picked up by the Feds and convicted of Failure to comply and making false statements to ATF agents… I did 2 years at USP McCreary in Pine Knot, Kentucky… I was released in January 2006 and have been working to get my life and career back in order…
I have worked on behalf of VOC and ITS in the matter of mixing recordings and in some cases mastering… Heated is coming back this year with the release of my first Solo album in over 10 years and a banging ass mix tape…
I would like to thank all the people who have held me down since I hit the street. Paul and Allen Stackman, Pablo G, OL, Cho 1, Jae Ellis, Sean-T, Dj 512, Komain, Jobu, Devil Man, Ghengis Khan and my Family…
