About Me

Hmmmm… about me? I think pretty darn highly of myself. I enjoy doing laundry and I know how to fold a fitted sheet properly. I am habitually late - you can count on it. The Alpharetta Police Department has, most likely, earned enough money through my gracious and (usually) timely payment of all speeding fines to fund the last two year’s company picnics plus purchase new bullet proof vests for the entire force. Sadly, I am beginning to realize how much harder it is to lose 40 pounds at the ripe old age of 26 than it was at the age of 20, regardless of the diet/exercise plan. I love my job. The only thing I like about cold weather is shopping for new winter clothes. I might not look like it, but I’m a certifiable Cuban… I was born in Miami. (born & raised in the county of Dade…. take it to da house.) If I’m not working (or pretending to) I spend most of my time with my love, David. I’m not quite the around-town-busy-body that I used to be (maybe that has something to do with those 40 pounds?) but I’m perfectly fine with that. Nowadays I would much rather be hanging out at home, lounging on my awesome couch (it is so seriously awesome, I swear), and watching TV. I watch WAY too much television. I’m never one to pass up a good concert. There’s nothing like a good show with your best friends…. unless the tickets happen to be free. I love to over-use parenthesis (It’s fun!). The only kind of green beans that I will eat are Del Monte (canned) with salt, cut style. All the rest are gross. Icky even. I love my Jackdog. I totally believe what people say about dogs being just like their owners and vice versa. Jack and I will both whine until we get exactly what we want…. its usually just attention. :) I was previously on a mission to amass the largest and most impressive CD collection around. (Even if I was the only one that was impressed, that would have been fine.) BUT someone put a halt to that REAL quick like. Which leads me to the best piece of advice I can give: Forgiveness is one of the best lessons you can/will learn in life. Learn it early so you don’t have to grow up and turn into an old bitter person. You will have no one to blame but yourself. That’s TOTALLY enough rambling for now. If you think you need to know something else “about me”, then ask. MMMMMMMk?

My Interests

Life.

I'd like to meet:

Dolly Parton, Scott Weiland, Montel Williams, Jennifer Aniston, and Sylvia Browne, among others. Also, anyone who would like to fund a shopping excursion for me and Britt to Lenox Mall. The NEXT time I meet Jared Leto I am going to try my hardest to remember to actually say something.

Music:

I love music. Music can soothe and heal all wounds... Every good memory I have has some kind of music playing in the background... Stone Temple Pilots & Velvet Revolver are awesome (that probably has something to do with my infatuation with Scott Weiland but who knows), Dave Matthews Band, Tom Petty, Angie Aparo, U2, Staind, 30 Seconds to Mars, Sarah McLachlan, LIVE, Counting Crows, Coldplay, Chicago, Foo Fighters, Godsmack, Jewel, Linkin Park, Pink Floyd, Old Rehab, Smashing Pumpkins, Blue October, Jimi Hendrix, basically any country singer from the 80's & 90's and so much more.

Movies:

'Til There Was You, CRASH. Wizard of Oz, Rat Race, Mrs. Doubtfire, Fools Rush In, Man on Fire, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Empire Records, National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation, Boondock Saints, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Delivering Milo, The Incredibles, and umm.... I can't think of anymore at the moment.

Television:

I can't wake up without the TODAY show and I LOVE EARL! The Office, Boston Legal, Girls Next Door, House, Justice, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Still Standing, King of Queens, Reno 911, and According to Jim. I love all the shows like Cops, Investigators, Forensic Files, City Confidential, CSI, Cold Case Files, First 48, Dallas SWAT, American Justice, Masterminds, and blah blah blah. I watch WAY too much television.

Books:

The Five People You Meet In Heaven, Catcher in the Rye.
